Story

In December 2023 our friend, colleague and headteacher Mrs Ashley Clayton died. She had an incredible impact on the children, staff and parents of Gillibrand Primary School and the wider Chorley community. To mark her legacy and love of reading, we are raising money to create a reading garden in her name, next to our school library so generations to come will know of her love for Gillibrand Primary School, her love of learning and her love of books!

To raise money various schools in Chorley are hosting a non-uniform day, inviting children and staff to wear bright and colourful clothing in memory of Ashley.
