We are fundraising for life saving Epilepsy equipment including an alarm bracelet and Bed Alarm Mattress Sensors for our Daughter Samantha as she has Refractory Epilepsy which is Drug Resistant which means that her Seizures are Uncontrolled she takes a lot of Anti-Epileptic medications and is currently having more medication adjustments/increases with talk of more add on medications being needed.

Samantha has to carry Emergancy Medication Buccal Midazolam which Is a controlled rescue medication which is a Benzodiazepine Sedative with her at all times, Samantha has to wear a Special Medical Alert Bracelet to alert people that she is carrying her Emergancy Medication Buccal Midazolam. The Buccal Midazolam can affect Samantha's breathing and heart rate due to it sedating her as well as the Seizures that she suffers with which puts Samantha at a very High Risk each time she has a Seizure.

Samantha is now Twenty Three years old and she is unable to go out alone she has suffered with Epilepsy since she was Three months old, she suffered with a Stroke at the age of Three Years old due to having Status Epilepticus which is life threatening and can cause brain damage or death Samantha has also had to undergo Brain Surgery on her Left Frontal Lobe to try and gain better control of her Sezuires. Samantha has many types of Seizures she will sometimes get an Aura which will allow us less than a minute to make her safe but she also suffers with Drop Attacks which come with no warning what so ever those seizures often cause Samantha a lot of Bruises. Samantha also has Seizures quite often at Night when she is asleep which we don't know she is having until she wakes up sore, tried and bruised this puts her at High Risk as we can't time her seizures to be able to administer her Life Saving Emergancy Medication and minimise Samantha being admitted to hospital yet again.

One of the alarms Samantha needs is called a Pulse Guard Sensor, this will alert us to Samanthas seizures
