We believe that nobody should spend Christmas Day on their own, unless they want to, and yet each year there are millions of people who will be doing just that. This year Silvia and I will be organising a lunch on Christmas Day in Yardley Wood, Birmingham, which is open to anybody who will be on there own this Christmas.

The money we are trying to raise will help to fund the whole day, which is completely free for those who use the service. We offer a free transportation service to and from their homes, and a free three-course Christmas dinner with drinks. As many of our guests have no families at all, we also provide them with a food hamper, which is often their only Christmas Present. Your funds will be used directly to fund the service we offer.

The day itself is staffed completely by volunteers. We would really appreciate your support in organising this event. It doesn’t matter how much you can donate, every little helps towards making a difference to around 50 people this Christmas.
