SUICIDE, is the biggest killer of males, aged between 15 and 24 in the Highlands of Scotland. Heartbreakingly the suicide rate is well above the national average, and it...is...rising.

Statistically, every TEN days, one living soul, in our area, will take their own life...this will not do.

So the Teuchter's Comedy Club, based in the Highland's capital of Inverness, Scotland, are doing something about it...and they NEED YOUR HELP!

"Mikeysline" was set up in 2015, to combat this regional, and now cultural dilemma facing the north of Scotland, where given it's heritage and history it is still very much taboo to simply say you aren't doing well...and that you need help.

Just over a year ago, Mikeysline opened the Highland’s first out-of-hours mental health crisis centre. Based in Inverness City Centre , it serves the people of the Highlands seven days per week. However, even getting to Inverness could be a lengthy task for so many with buses, fuel and money providing many obstacles. Especially when you take into account that the Highlands of Scotland is roughly the size of Belgium!!

The charity have recently run successful pilots in the area, and in the new year they hope to bring this into as many local towns and villages as possible such as Wick, Alness, Kinlochbervie, Tain and so on. Often it is the more remote places where most help if needed.

To do this they need support.

To sustain this outreach project around the Highlands, it costs approximately £2000 to run for six months. The Teuchter's Comedy Club want to help them provide as many months as possible, to our young community.

Just £4000 will run it for a year...and we want to raise as much as possible!!

So to help...The Teuchter's Comedy Club WROTE A SONG...!!

They then contacted local top band Silvercoast, who brought this rough tune on to the absolute masterpiece you will soon be able to hear. Silvercoast are musical geniuses!!!

Teuchter's then contacted around 40 different LOCAL voices to be on the song, BandAid style...including a kick-ass choir!!

A lot of these voices, many in fact, have connections with mental health, and many have a story to tell and feel as passionate about it as we do.

And incredibly, this whole project was done in the space of a fortnight!!!

NOONE is being paid for this!!

EVERYONE put in so much time and effort...and the song is being released for your listening pleasure...with donations sought in exchange for a download!

And EVERYTHING will go to Mikeysline...EVERYTHING.

Teuchter's Comedy Club wrote it, Silvercoast played it, and INVERNESS sang it!!
