Story
In the past two years I have undergone two operations after being diagnosed with the heart condition, Arrythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy. ARVC is incurable at present and a known cause of sudden cardiac death. ARVC is just one of the many heart conditions supported by Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) as they seek to prevent young cardiac death through awareness, screening and research.
Half of the money will also go to the South Petherton Stroke Unit who are helping my Grandma in her rehabilitation from a stroke she suffered in January of this year. This wonderful hospital does a fantastic job of helping stroke victims on the long journey to rebuilding their lives in the aftermath of a stroke.

7 years agoI'm off to Bristol today to visit a specialist running shop. They are going to do a video analysis of my running so I can get a pair of shoes that will treat me well over the 100km. Next week I am planning a 30-35 mile day which will likely be a full day effort!

7 years agoStarting to run more alongside regular 10k+ walks. Completed a 22:03 5k at my first parkrun which is all helping to increase the strength and stamina of my legs. Online and offline, I now have an incredible £225 of sponsorship...thank you very much, nearly halfway to the overall target!

7 years agoI've been working hard and putting in the training miles with my legs coping better and better with the distances. I'm starting to sort out my kit with a good pair of distance trainers a priority. I have lowered my Justgiving target due to receiving a lot of cash sponsorship offline which adds to the overall £500 goal.
