Story
*Due to lack of interest I will close this soon if no donations. I really love my blog as do many people but I can’t afford hosting and definitely not domain registration. I hope someone can help even if a bit! This is my only joy in life and my passion! *
I have a blog called “chronic heather” where I blog about my health & disability & try to raise awareness to others about the struggles us chronically ill & disabled people have to go through.
I get £300 a month and live off 70p a day and I don't get any money from the blog.
I am dedicated & passionate about my blog plus I can raise awareness with others!
It is the only thing to make me happy in life being housebound with no money.
When I started the blog I never realised so many people would be interested!
I love doing this but I just don't have the money to keep it going.
I sadly can't afford to buy or renew a domain or pay for hosting so I am using free trial hosting that is expiring soon as it was for a term.
If I can't raise money for hosting I will have to stick to free which is really bad & doesn't have things I need plus unreliable, but I will not let my blog die!
I have the prices below & I am looking at getting multiple years domain name registration as obviously I wouldn't be able to pay for the renewal myself in the future as I can't work, so want to get longest term domain name I can, plus hosting too if possible.
Sale price for hosting is £50 for 1 year as of 23/6
All regular hosting prices are around £5 a month (before vat).
27/6: I just found a long term domain registration for £86 for 10y!!! I would love this the most as it is very long term but I will leave the target at the current one to keep the price low. I can aim for it if I raise anything
My target is based on the middle "better support" one below at 6 years plus 1 year hosting.
All prices inc vat plus privacy added
New deal found good reviews - £86 10y / £52 5y
Cheap but bad support - £56 8y / £49 6y / £29 4y
Cheap better support - £85 8y / £62 6y / £38 4y
Best support - £130 8y / £94 6y / £64 4y
If I get enough for the domain name I will be over the moon, if I got hosting too, I would be ecstatic!
This is my passion and the only thing keeping me happy as I have literally nothing else in my life.

4 years agoI guess I’ll close this down. No one is interested. Can’t blame them! I have no money so not sure how to carry on paying the hosting

4 years agoAdded a link to my twitter where I post a lot so you can see my struggles. I also posted a link there to a site where you can get a gift card for domain registration if you are against donating money for this if you aren't sure where the money is going. I can guarantee all proceeds will go to my blog to keep it going long term, but if you aren't sure, there is a site that you can sign up to that sells gift cards for domains. It couldn't be used for hosting as their hosting is much too expensive, but I could use it the domain registration
