For six years, volunteers from SEVERAL local churches have run Chelmsford's Church @ Car Boot Sale.

April - October, we have served great hot drinks at the Boreham Car Boot Sale, Sundays, 7 - noon & been available to chat & give opportunity for prayer.

We often serve 300 - 400 drinks each time and customers alway tell us we serve the best coffee on site! Week by week, many sit, chat, share their lives and have become our regular 'congregation' and friends.

Not least 50% of our takings go to a local Charity.

The new season was due to start Sunday 2nd April, but end of March our Coffee Van was stolen.

The day after, it was recovered damaged and beyond economic repair. Every bit of equipment (except the coffee machines, stored elsewhere for winter) had been stolen from inside.

We lost two high quality gazebo's - one our new Prayer Space - catering supplies, generator, water tank, urn, tables, chairs, swing sign, even boxes of literature and Bibles, tools and even all the storage racking was gone.

After a period of prayer and reflection the Team of CACBS met and are determined to continue.

The van, which was old and already approaching replacement, was only insured for its low market value and the contents, (contents are prohibitively expensive to insure), not specifically at all.

With monies paid by our Insurance company and a smaller amount already in-hand, we will be able to start replacing our equipment, but to continue at the Boot Sale, we need substantial additional funds to purchase a good, mechanically and cosmetically sound, vehicle which we hope will see us well into the future.

We are therefore asking for donations, large and small. Can you help? Any amounts will be gratefully received.
