Weʼre raising £500 to Donate to Jo's Appeal - a feeder charity raising money for The Eve Appeal, St Mary's Hospice and Furness General Hospital Oncology unit.

My friend Rachel & I are going to be doing the 43 mile Keswick to Barrow walk on Saturday 6 May to raise money for Jo's Appeal, a charity set up in memory of my sister in law Jo who died of ovarian cancer in 2015, aged 38.

Jo's Appeal is a feeder charity which raises money for 3 good causes; national women's cancer charity The Eve Appeal, St Mary's Hospice Ulverston, and the FGH oncology unit, all of which helped Jo to live a very full and happy life for 5.5 years after diagnosis.

Jo's Appeal has raised over £64, 000 in the past 18 months and so far £35,000 has been donated to the three charities.

Our friends and families and colleagues have shown astounding generosity and supported the charity wholeheartedly, which is testament to Jo's popularity and is helping to give her a fitting legacy.

I think it would be fair to say that neither Rachel or I are natural athletes (😂) but we are putting the miles in and we are determined to complete the 43 miles. 25 miles will probably be fine but the last 18 are going to hurt like hell. Knowing we have your support and are raising cash for such amazing charities will spur us on.
