Story
Siberian weather is on it's way ....
Baby it's cold outside, even more so when you have no home and are reliant on the kindness of strangers for a roof over your head at night.
Forest Churches Emergency Night Shelter is an initiative from churches in the borough of Waltham Forest that take it turns to open their doors to up to 30 homeless street sleepers every night between November and March, provide a hot meal and a place to sleep. The sleeping offering is very basic all the homeless guests have use of a thin roll mat, sleeping bag and pillow and bed down communally on the church hall floor. Doors open at 8pm and they all have to leave, after a community provided breakfast, just after 7am. It is a very hard life and the guests come from the most vulnerable sectors of society.
A lot of the sleeping bags at United Free (the Sunday shelter,) having been used for several years, now have broken zip, tears or are generally icky and we would like to replace them. It will be essential that the new bags are all exactly the same but we are hoping to bag a bargain and are looking to buy something along the lines of

Obviously, discounted items sell out quickly, so the sooner we can raise funds the better.
Any amount, however, small would be welcomed.
I am putting my money where my mouth is and starting the ball rolling, can you help too?
Many thanks - Claire
