Adam and I are fundraising for 2 causes that we are very grateful for after the birth of our daughter Ella; Antrim Neo Natal Unit and Tinylife.

On 16th May this year Ella was born prematurly, 9 weeks early and spent 36 days in Antrim Neo-natal Unit. Ella received outstanding medical care from the staff who also answered any questions we had and gave us emotional support at this stressful and anxious time. The staff in this unit go above and beyond the call of duty on an hourly basis. We were able to go home and sleep each night with some peace of mind as we knew our baby was with a team of people who cared for our baby as if they were their own child. The charity Tinylife were on hand not long after Ella was born supporting us by providing a breastpump. jenny our Tinylife family support worker met us in hospital and through her we have had the opportunity to attend baby massage classes, parent and baby mornings and attend Tinygym that they facilitate with the physio and nurse from the neo natal unit. All of these things along with the other available family support services for premature and sick babies are provided through voluntary donations.

Premature birth happens everyday worldwide. We hope our fundraising will help our chosen causes to continue to support and care for babies and families.
