Myself and other members of the club are running the Cardiff 10k to raise funds for this amazing lifeguard club located at The Knap, Barry. The club is run by volunteers and is a non profitable club. The club provides Voluntary Lifeguard patrol at the Knap and has been for over 50 years. 111 lives have been saved. The club provides training to ages 7 and above, the next generation of lifeguards. Any money raised will be used to provide lifesaving equipment along with updating and repairing surf rescue boards and training boards. The club has recently been awarded an MBE, The Queens award for contribution to voluntary services. We much appreciate any amount no matter how small.
