    Story

Liverpool Football Therapy was specifically set up to help improve the Physical, Mental, Emotional and Social Wellbeing of adults who are affected by mental ill health. All Abilities and All Genders are welcome to become involved. Our fun, safe 5-a-side football sessions throughout Merseyside can help improve your mental wellbeing, it can be used as part of the recovery process or as part of long term ongoing therapy. Our sessions are for those who have or have not been diagnosed and no referral is required to become involved.

We believe in Early Intervention and the Peer Support from within can and does help save lives.

We are currently in limbo at the moment as we are no longer a CIC and yet to be confirmed as a registered charity, this means we are unable to go through the usual avenues to win grants or receiving funding. We are relying on fundraising and sponsorship to get us by at the moment.

We have just been awarded Project of the Year by Liverpool County FA and have been shortlisted for a national award through the Football Association too.

No one at LFT takes a wage, all work carried out is on a voluntary basis only.

We have seen several individuals benefit from being involved with LFT not only becoming stronger mentally, becoming healthier in general and making friends for life, we have several participants who have returned to education and several have once again returned to employment or become involved in local organisations as volunteers. All money that comes into the organisation through fundraising activities, grants, sponsorship and donations is spent on hiring facilities and equipment.

Your kind support is greatly appreciated by all involved with LFT.
