Story
We need to upgrade the accommodation at the abbey on Iona so that we can continue to welcome guests, transform lives and change the world!
I am planning to swim the Sound of Iona sometime between the end of June and the end of July 2018 and I hope to raise at least £2000 towards the Iona Capital Appeal, hopefully a lot more! I've been swimming with the Newhaven Harbour Triathlete Club for a couple of years now and swam the Great Scottish Swim (one mile) last August.One of my nephews, Neil Harvey, who lives on Mull and is a qualified outdoors instructor, has Kindly agreed to accompany me and research tides etc.
I would be really chuffed if you would agree to sponsor me.

6 years agoMany thanks to Judy A for a hugely generous donation. My nephew Neil Harvey has earmarked 14th or 15th July as possible swim dates, 7pm and 7.30pm respectively, when the ferries will be finished for the day and the tides will be slack. He will be available to accompany me in his boat. Let's hope the wind will also have finished for the day! That would be a help. I'm off to Iona for five weeks on 23 June to volunteer with the Iona community. And of course I'll be taking my wet suit with me. Blessings to one and all, Colin
