Story
The Bridgers are a very active and diverse community group that work on Environmental, Pastoral, Social and Educational issues that affect all residents and visitors to our beautiful village. The group was formed over the winter of 1998 / 1999 and encompasses all of the other groups within the village of Howe Bridge. We promote and celebrate all aspects of our fantastic history and heritage, we also display the village in the North West In Bloom competition and have been very successful in that and also in the Green Flag project.

2 years agoWe are almost 70% of the way to our target, THANKYOU to ALL of the donors including those who wish to remain anonymous, we just need a few more donations to reach the magical amount of £1500.00, if we raise over the target amount, the extra money will be spent on maintenance equipment and products for Colliers Corner, eg, paint, timber, plant food etc.

I love to look at the pony sculpture when I'm driving to work & I was sad to see it had been vandalised. I hope my small donation will help a bit.

The heritage sculpture is to recognise and acknowledge the importance, value and history creating effect that coal mining and engineering had on Howe Bridge. It is also an attractive and pivatol aspect of Colliers Corner
