    Story

Hi everyone, I just thought it was about time we gave you an update. So far, as you can see, we have raised £800 towards our target but we are hopeful that this will continue to provide some funds towards our continued existence and further growth.

Since 'The Guardian' published its 'Made in Stoke' series our business has exploded, the demand for our services has gone beyond anything we could have predicted. We have now managed to secure waste collections from some large end users for example; Specsavers, Remploy and Makita and of course this has meant an upturn in volume. To cope with the upturn we have increased the number of volunteer opportunities we have available adding another four individuals but not only that we have been able to employ two of our established volunteers on part-time contracts, this brings our paid staff upto 12 and a similar number of volunteers.

It is clear to all of us in the 'Third Sector' that money is tight, so if you are unable to give hard cash then how about discussing with your colleagues, employers and friends and offering us your redundant IT equipment. We can comply with all of the WEEE regulations and the new GDPR regulations so please give us the chance to help more disadvantaged people.

On behalf of everyone at CRC, Thank you in advance.
