STOLEN CHARITY MONEY !!!

As you may know I am involved in running the charity HANFA which provides a summer scheme for young people with additional needs. The scheme runs for four weeks in the summer holidays and provides trips and activities giving our youngsters opportunities that they might not otherwise get such as canoeing trips, meals out, train trips, animal visits, arts and crafts. This is great for the young people and also provides vital respite for parents and carers.

There is a charity event this Saturday at Body Power Gym in Ettiley Heath which is a Charity Lifting Show. This has been kindly organised by Dayle Matthew to raise funds not just for HANFA but for AMMF and for St Luke's Hospice. Any money raised at the event and on this page will be split between the 3 charities.

Unfortunately on the evening of Sunday 10th June some callous thieves broke into the gym and stole all the charity money including charity collection boxes. These thieves have struck directly against young people with disabilities and against people suffering with cancer.

I am sure we all know either someone with a disability or someone close to us has suffered with some form of cancer at one time or another.

We would like as many people as possible to attend the event on Saturday in order not only to raise vital funds for the charities but to also show these thieves that the good work that people like Dayle do for local charities will continue.

However we would also like as many people as possible to make a donation no matter how small to help raise funds for these very important charities. We have set a modest target on this page but the sky is the limit and the more people that donate and share this link the better.
