Story
So, way back at the start of the year Andrew said to David and I would you be up for the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge – yes I said not having a clue what I was letting myself in for! I now know.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks is over 25 miles and comprises the 3 highest Peaks in Yorkshire Pen-Y-Ghent at 694m, Whernside at 736m and Ingleborough at 723m – just to make it more interesting you need to complete the course in 12 hours. Now I am reliably informed that the views are spectacular and on a clear day you can see all the way to Morecambe Bay in the West from the tops of both Whernside and Ingleborough and so we are hoping that May the 30th will be bright and clear but not too hot in Yorkshire. So apart from being very foolish why are we doing it I hear you ask. The answer is to raise funds to carry on serving the community of Great Horwood in 2 ways: firstly, to paint the inside of the church which needs doing every 12 years or so and secondly to raise some funds for Focus itself.
