Hi, my name is Dean Brady I am a 21 year old wheelchair basketball player from West Sussex. I am a full time manual wheelchair user and have a condition called Cerebral Palsy, this affects mainly my lower limbs. I have played wheelchair basketball for around 14 years after being introduced to the sport up north in Yorkshire where I spent my younger years growing up, I was approached by a sports coach who was starting a team in the local area, and was asked if I wanted to come along to a training session and give it ago. 14 years on I am still playing the sport and it has become a major part of my life. I have been relocated back down South now for 6 years and play for The Tornados in the national league. During this time I have played across all 5 divisions including The Premier Division which is the highest level in the country. As well as this I have also represented England South and the The South East at under 19 level at other national events.

I am seeking help towards funding a new wheelchair basketball chair as my current one doesn't suit my needs and allow me to play to the best of my ability. The chairs are made to measure and custom built to suit every players specific needs. However the chairs cost £4500 to which i have already raised £300 myself. The chair will help me to perform to the best of my ability and at the highest level i can as well as achieving my own personal goals of becoming a better player and allowing me to continue to play the sport.

Any help whatsoever would be hugely appreciated no matter how small or even if you could share my page so it could reach a wider audience that again would be greatly appreciated.
