Please help Luca and his family pay for his bone marrow transplant and associated medical expenses in South Africa.

Luca is a 12yr old South African boy who loves surfing, playing rugby, making sushi and spending time outdoors with his Mum, Dad and 8yr old brother. Sadly, Luca was recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. He is currently undergoing intensive chemotherapy in preparation for a bone marrow transplant. Despite all the intrusive medical procedures he is having to endure as well as fighting off a nasty bout of pneumonia, Luca remains positive and has adopted the hashtag #WeAreBeatingTheHellOutOfCANcer! and he has been visiting other children on the ward to encourage them in their battles with cancer. He and his family are also doing all they can to encourage people across the world to register as bone marrow donors, as he waits patiently for a donor match to be found for him. His little brother, Ringo, was recently tested as a potential donor but, unfortunately, wasn't a match.
Now the reason for this fund raising appeal - we are very blessed in the UK to have an NHS which means that, should one of our loved ones need expensive medical treatment such as Luca does, we would not have the added stress of finding the funds to pay for it. Unfortunately, this is not the case in South Africa. Although health insurance is available, it is expensive and covers only a fraction of the costs. Luca's family is, obviously, focused on him and his treatment and getting a donor but the medical bills are already pouring in. Raising £5000 with your help would help towards paying these bills.
