On 30 July my family are doing a charity bike ride to support The Northern Head & Neck Cancer fund. Paul is doing 100 miles, and Lucy and I will do the final 20 miles of ride.

This charity is very close to my heart as my gran suffered from this type of cancer for many years.

The Northern Head and Neck Cancer fund was established in collaboration with Newcastle Upon Tyne NHS Foundation Trust.

The aims of the Northern Head and Neck Cancer Fund are:

To aid funding of Head and Neck Cancer Awareness campaigns with in the Northern region

To aid the funding of additional equipment and services above and beyond what Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust can provide

To improve and enhance the Northern Head and Neck Cancer patient and carer experience.

To aid research and education in the field of head and neck cancer in the Northern region
