Thousands of young people leave the care system each year, mostly unprepared for a life of isolation, without support and those vital relationships to turn to when they need it most. A great many spend the following years trying to comprehend what happened in their young lives, with scant information images etc, to reflect upon to complete their story.

As a small group of skilled 'Careleavers' ourselves we are determined to use our Creativity, creating a retreat which brings together writing, visual art, poetry, storytelling, cooking, mindfulness workshops to help heal others on their journey.

All activities are intrinsic within our retreat, offering a unique opportunity to re-frame life their experiences to explore with others and to move forward positively in life with renewed strength and determination.

As well as lift sharing we hope to assist some people with travel costs (half of the participants) who are unable to find these funds, as they will be coming from across various regions.
