Story
I am running my first 10k on Saturday 23rd of September for Nikolas Prenga who suffers from Muscular Dystrophy. He is in my sons class at school. It bothered me to see his mum upset on sports day. She wasn't upset because his teacher had to walk him down the track or because he was last but at the thought about next year & the years to come for her son. I cheered my children on, hoping they would make it to the finish line without falling not thinking WOULD they even make it to the finish line. When I spoke to her afterwards i knew i had to help out somehow. Muscular Dystrophy is affecting Nikolas in many physical ways so i am doing this to provide extra hydrotherapy & physio sessions for him & anything that can make his life at home right now a little easier. Thank you for supporting a lovely young boy. Ps. I have never ran in my life so a 10k is nothing to some people but to me its a marathon!!!!

7 years agoI initially set out to raise £300 to help Nikolas Prenga from Bracknell. With the generosity, kindness & lovely good family, friends and locals we reached £1000 over that. Thank you everyone. My run went as well as can be expected from a lifetime non-runner....but it was worth it. Total raised £1,300...fantastic ...Denise xxx
