Support the Grimsby Water Rats 'Dip a Day in the Dock during December' by making a small donation with all proceeds going towards supporting the Humberston Park Hydrotherapy Pool.

During December some (rather hardy) members of the club will be taking a 'skins' dip every day in the lead up to Christmas and hope their efforts will help through raising some currently much needed funds for the Humberston Park Hydrotherapy Pool. The pool is operated by a charitable trust who have reported that since the start of the covid lockdown, funds and donations needed to support the running of the pool 'have been severely dented'. The pool is situated in the Humberston Park Special School with the purpose of offering hydrotherapy both to those pupils attending Humberston Park Special School and individuals within the community who have a severe physical impairment and/or a medical condition. The pool is also used by other local special schools. Although the pool is based in the school, both the initial fundraising for it and the operation and upkeep of the pool is through the 'Friends of Humberston Park Special School which is a registered charity (Charity No 1016519) who started fundraising for the community facility over 20 years ago with the pool being built in 2006.

Time can be booked in the evenings and weekends to join a session; this is available to anyone who meets the criteria for the use of the pool. The use of the pool is 'Free' unless it is for commercial purposes.
