A number of years ago a significant number of residents if Dipton expressed a desire to replace the existing War Memorial with a Memorial providing a more fitting tribute to the people of Dipton who served their country and lost their lives in various conflicts.

Hi my uncle had a plaque in Dipton church which was moved to the community centre in till a suitable place could be found for it
