    Story

I shall be participating, together with others, in a sleep-out at Goodison Park in an event organised to raise funds specifically to be used towards dealing with homelessness.
With the beginning of Winter and the approaching Christmas & New Year season it is imperative to help, support and assist the citizens of Merseyside & surrounding areas who may find themselves homeless, bereft of the most basic human needs for survival, food, clothes and suitable refreshment. Many of these people find themselves without any financial support and the circumstances leading to their dire needs are many and varied.
I believe it is an important characteristic of citizens to help others in such a plight, to demonstrate empathy and help provide a solid base to promote a feeling a self worth in others, to provide a platform to regenerate, organise and plan to get homeless people back into accommodation, employment and self sufficiency. As a society we must help others by promoting an environment where local society takes care of its fellow humans; we all benefit from social inclusion. Human beings must not be left to live in a cardboard box!!

      Update from the Page owner

The Page closed on Christmas Eve. To everybody who has supported the initiative, in any way, a BIG THANK YOU. The dosh will be well used, together with the other monies raised by others, by professional helpers to get deserving and needy people back on course.

Thanks for the support today thus far. Every penny, shekel, yuan, peso, euro, dollar, rouble counts. It will all go in the mix to, hopefully, make a decent Grand Total in the bigger picture.
