Story
Trinity Church School does DIY SOS!
Trinity Church School PTA are supporting our school by fundraising to provide the funds for much needed improvements to the school grounds.
The school has a VERY ambitious plan to significantly improve facilities in the school grounds for outdoor learning and leisure facilities for the children. Key features of the build include: creating steps so that the early years classes, including the nursery, have improved access to the school playing field; a patio area for learning and recreation; and a slide (for when the children need to make a quick return to the classroom!). Along with a climbing wall which will be used to build upper strength during PE sessions and also use at leisure. As well as improving the school grounds, we are also going to be installing outdoor learning huts which will be individually themed to subjects including maths, science, RE and English.
Outdoor learning and ‘forest school’ have become key features at the school, and have many lasting benefits for the children, including:
• enhanced personal and social communication skills
• increased physical health
• enhanced mental and spiritual health
• enhanced spiritual, sensory, and aesthetic awareness
