For anyone that knows any of us will understand the heartache and pain Alzheimer's and Dementia have caused within our families. Alzheimer's and Dementia has individually touched all of us.

John Baird lost his beloved dad, Jim Baird at the age of 78, to Alzheimer's disease in 2007.

Kerrie McGregor's mum was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2014. Marie is currently living at home with her family, times can be hard living with this disease for the individual and her family.

Lynsey Gibson's dad was only 59 years old when diagnosed with pick's disease, a rare form of progressive dementia in 2007. Neil has been in hospital since 2016 and is currently in Marchburn Ward, East Ayrshire Community Hospital.

Lynsey's daughter, Ellie Gibson was also affected by her papa's illness and is now studying to become a Mental Health Nurse due to seeing how it affected her papa and her family.
