Short excerpt from the brother's message:

Assalam Alaykum and Hajj Mabrook to you all.

I was supposed to go to Hajj with you all but unfortunately I was not able to. I am 20 years old and one of my dreams has always been to go to Hajj. I have been saving my entire life and I finally had enough to go. I sent $6,570 for my Hajj trip and carefully followed all of the instructions and sent my passport to the New York office accordingly. They issued me the Saudi Arabian visa and I included a prepaid return envelope addressed back to my residence in California. According to the travel agency in New York, they mailed my passport back with the visa but unfortunately I never received it. I immediately contacted the US postal service and they said the envelope was still in New York so I opened a case in attempt to locate my passport. Regrettably, I never received my passport and my dream of making the ultimate trip to Hajj was shattered.
