We are trying to raise funds to help get our friend and tour guide in Afghanistan out of the country.

Since the US forces pulled out, the security situation has declined and the Taliban have made huge advances taking over many areas. Our guide has been forced to flee Mazar and is now in Kabul with his family. The situation is Kabul however is also declining and it seems to now be a case of when rather than if it will fall.

Those of you who know our guide, won't need to be told how much he loves his country. He is distraught at what is happening there but still wanted to stay. Now however it is not safe for him. His past work and profile online makes him a target so it's essential he gets out before it's too late.

He has a wife and two young children (including a 4 month old baby). Accommodation and visas are currently being arranged and more than half the money needed has already been raised but a further $5000 (£3600 is needed). Any donations would be greatly appreciated.
