Weʼve raised £60 to Help Fund Leon Hoey SDR Surgery.
- Warrington, United Kingdom
- Funded on Sunday, 1st October 2017
Crowdfunding is a new type of fundraising where you can raise funds for your own personal cause, even if you're not a registered charity.
The page owner is responsible for the distribution of funds raised.
On Sunday 17th of September I will be running the English Half Marathon to try and raise funds for a very special little boy who is a family member.
Leon Hoey is aged 6 and Suffers from severe cerebral palsy in his legs.
When Leon was born he wasn't breathing,Thankfully one Doctor refused to give up and he survived to become the Cheeky smiley Chappy he is today.
However the Cerebral Palsy has got steadily worse over time and Leon needs an SDR Operation(Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy) which will hopefully will hopefully reduce the tight and stiff muscle tone in his lower limbs and improve function and mobility increasing his independence and improving the motion and positioning of his body.
Sadly this particular operation isn't funded by the NHS and will cost £21,000.
Many people have come together in various ways to try and raise the funds and this is just my small way of helping this lovely little fella achieve his dreams so please sponsor me if you can no donation is to small.
