Ecosystem Restoration are a growing, grassroots movement of everyday people dedicated to restoring degraded land. Voluntarily, joyfully and with peaceful intent wish to restore basic ecological function so that all people and other living things can live together in harmony.

Ecosystem Restoration Camps is a non-profit organisation founded by a movement of people who wanted an action-based solution to address accelerating climate change.  The camps are a practical, hands on way to restore land degraded by humans.  Their mission is to work with local communities and build camps that transform bare, deserted landscapes into lush, abundant, life-giving ecosystems.

I chose to run the half marathon to raise funds for this organisation my friend started this year, which is dedicated to saving the world's ecosystem for future generations.

The organisation is so important to me! My friend has started this wonderful project which will restore earth and hopefully inspire many people to consider the way we treat mother nature.
