Story

ELC is supplementary education project working for positive change in the community. A few years ago after watch many minority young people being killed, drop our of school. I began to focus on how I can contribute to making the community I live and work in a better place for the young people of all backgrounds. One of the issues I identified is the lack of interest in education lack of academic support for young people when they need it. The impact it can yield in later life for those young people who have lost hope and focus, thus leading them into gangs, use of abusive substances which then leads on to crime.

Through my own initiative I started ELC, a structured based educational support programme aimed at supporting those failing in the educational system. One of the key focus of the programme is to bring back hope to our young people that a good and successful educational achievement is a key factor in determining their future success and be not only an inspiration to future young people that a good education should be their main aim, but more importantly not be a burden on the state but a shining beacon for others to follow.

Why supplementary education is needed

Supplementary education makes positive improvements in educating children and supporting parents by focusing on the quality of education, does help students to achieve excellent grades. Offer out of hour’s education opportunities for children and young people many of whom come from minority ethnic community.

ELC Support deliver a comprehensive support package to suit individual needs enabling each participant to succeed at the highest potential level. We will continue our focus on the National Curriculum and provide individual support based on the needs of each pupil. This will be done by ensuring that each individual:

We support Gifted and Talented learners who are achieving, or who have the potential to achieve, a level substantially beyond the rest of their peer group inside their particular school.

Those learners who demonstrate or have the potential to demonstrate extremely high levels of ability, compared to their peers don’t get support they need.

Please help me to build the programme to reach out to those young people that believe there is no hope, but to show that there are people out there that are determine to walk a positive journey with them.

The donation will go direct to ELC Support and will be able to use it to pay for the rent for the building we are using to provide supplementary education. ELC does not have funds to continue offering supplementary education. I want to help by crown-funding let’s all help get ELC Support the fund to support our community.

In order to implement this project we need donations to help us to run this projects. We are specifically seeking donations to fund the building we are using to run our projects. We are currently using St Mark's Community Centre, 218 Tollgate Road, Beckton, London, E6 5YA.

We really hope that you can see our vision and feel our determination to make a positive change to the lives of young people and to help build a better community. We really hope that you will help us
