I am trying to raise money to purchase an electric wheelchair to give 12 year old Angel much needed independence whilst her mobility is so badly affected by her chronic pain condition Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS).

CRPS is a rare and complex condition that medical professionals have limited knowledge of therefore seeking the appropriate treatment for the child is often very challenging in itself as is the complexity of the condition and the debilitating effect this has on the individual. CRPS is damage to/ malfunction of the peripheral and central nervous system, often triggered by as little as a simple sprained ankle or operation as in Angels case, but the pain continues long after the injury. Angels symptoms range from burning/stabbing/shooting pain in the affected areas, skins discolouration, skin ulcers and contractures which Angel currently has in both feet and hand preventing her from moving or using these areas.
Angel has been signed off school medically since October 2017 and is currently in a manual wheelchair but unable to propel herself due to currently not having the use of one of her hands. Having an electric wheelchair would give Angel the independence she is craving by enabling her to access areas of the home herself and enable her to socialise with friends.
