I am currently in a training programme to represent GB in the World Age Group Under Water Hockey Tournament in Tasmania in August 2017
This means I train throughout the week at the local gym and attend Under Water Hockey Sessions at the Life Centre
Every month I travel to Leeds for team training for a weekend.

Under water hockey does not come with any national funding and is supported by individuals with some local grants sometimes being available.

Currently I receive "For Athletes at National Standard" funding which gives me use of gym facilities across the city free of charge.

Apart from that I have to fund the rest myself.
To be able to represent GB in Tasmania in the summer I am going to have to raise approximately £3,000
This is for a number of reasons
Costs of swimming sessions locally
Travel to Leeds on a monthly basis
Accommodation whilst in Leeds
Replacement of worn equipment
Team kit
Travel and accommodation in Tasmania

I hope to bring a medal home :)

I feel very privileged to be selected for the GB team but now asking for support from my family and friends to help the financial journey.

I am a full time student hoping to go to University in September to study Mental health Nursing.
I do have a part time job which I have been saving hard for to be able to get to Tasmania and have £1,000 saved so far
