Over the past 2 years I have completed both the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh award and the Silver Duke of Edinburgh award and in 2017 I also plan to complete my Gold Duke of Edinburgh award. However, in order to complete this award, I need to try and gain financial support in order to be expedition component of the award. This is where I was hoping you would be able to help me. The cost of the award is over £900 so any kind of sponsor/donation would be so gracious.

The reason I am asking for financial aid is because at home I have a mother, father and younger brother. My father has the disability of fibromyalgia meaning that he cannot work; so my mother is the only parent bringing income to the household. My younger brother is also disabled with autism so this can also sometimes affect my mum's flow with work. Usually we have got by which has been great, but recently my older brother went off to university so my mother has been trying to give him financial support, meaning that they just cannot possibly afford to send me on the Gold Duke of Edinburgh trip.

I would absolutely love to complete Gold to finish off the 3 awards. The Duke of Edinburgh award has pushed me in ways I never could imagine and I would love to push even further for the last stretch of the process. I have spoken to various people who have completed all three of the awards, and they have stated that it was one of the greatest things that they have ever done, so I feel it would be a real disappointment if I were to miss out on this amazing opportunity.
