I am fundraising money on behalf of SLV volunteers, so that this coming summer I am able to fly out to Sri Lanka for a 5 week placement and help vulnerable locals suffering with mental health issues.

As mental health is highly stigmatised in Sri Lanka and access to vital services is limited, the work done by these voluntary projects is essential to provide the medical attention needed and to spread mental heath awareness in the country . Over the course of the 5 weeks I will be participating in a variety of projects such as in a psychiatric facility and rehabilitation centre as well as teaching English to children and young adults and working alongside with children with special needs.

The work done by SLV is amazing in making sure these children get the help they need. Any donations towards this cause would be greatly appreciated :)
