I was so excited that Camps International came to my high school - Glenwood High School in Glenrothes - with the most amazing opportunity... to go to Kenya in the Summer of 2018 on a 4-week volunteering expedition.

The Camps Projects involve building school desks/benches/classrooms and houses, installing fresh water tanks, planting trees, helping farmers and animals (eg elephants, goats, rhinos). I will be part of a team who will be able to make a real difference to so many people in these communities - and to the wildlife and environment too.

To fundraise my £4,000 expedition costs I have been doing many activities - such as baking stalls, race night, quiz night, sponsored walks and sponsored mud obstacle 10k. I'm hoping that my Just Giving page will help me get some donations - every little helps - I appreciate so much anything you can kindly donate to help me raise the money for my trip.

As well as all the amazing experiences I will get working in Kenya and doing everything I can to help, I will develop and grow so much as a person. When I come home I will have so many stories and memories to share - but most of all I will know I have worked hard to really change the life out there for the better - and that will be an achievement which will stay with me forever.
