The application is for funding to produce Everyone Sang, a play about the relationship between the war poet Sigfried Sassoon and the composer Ivor Novello. The production will coincide with the centenary of the end of the First World War. The play explores themes of sexuality and mental health. The production is a collaboration between professional actors and the community and will tour to village halls in Cumbria. The project is supported by the Ashton Group who helped develop it in 2014. I have Aspergers and one of the outcomes for the project will be to show that people with Aspergers can achieve in the arts.
