    Story

    Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to view our page.

We are Taia, Ollie, Jace, Tahjae, Bethany, Sam, Jess, and our Coach Leonie, all from EVOLUTION KARATE ACADEMY in Ipswich.

We have received incredible news that we have been selected to represent Karate England in the KARATE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 2022 being held in Fort Lauderdale Florida in July.

This is a dream come true for us all and one we thought may never happen when covid struck. Our Coach Leonie kept our dream alive by reminding us that things will return to normal one day and when that day comes, we will be ready. We had to adapt our training from normal class settings to online on zoom, to outside training, back to normal settings but even with all these obstacles we continued to put everything into our training. Our years of hard work, dedication, commitment, and sacrifices have all been so worth it, as we can now say we have been selected to represent England.

Anyone that follows us as Individuals, or a Team will know how hard we all work & are delighted that we have been given this opportunity!

Karate is not a sport that receives funding and therefore everything must be generated by us as athletes and our parents. To make this dream a reality we are asking for your help. We are seeking any kind of support possible, however big, or small to help us get to these World Championships in Florida.

If anyone would be so generous to give a donation to help us reach our £15,000 target, or even provide any ideas that could help us raise this money we would appreciate it so much. It would really mean the world to us.

This amount would cover the costs of our flights, accommodation, entry fees, airport transfers, daily competition transfers and new team wear and equipment.

A BIG BIG thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any donations made or support given.
