Story
Elevation Youth Dance Company are planning to perform two works at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. One named 'Anka's Story', that is a contemporary ballet that will take you on an emotional, yet uplifting journey, as these young performers sensitively portray the harrowing true-life story of Anka Bergman, who survived the Holocaust with her daughter, Eva, being born en route to Mauthausen camp. The other piece called 'Ctrl-Alt-Z' follows the real life story of an Alzheimer's patient from the perspective of her daughter, who was also her carer. Based on the book 'Keeping Mum' by Marianne Talbot. In order to perform these and spread these people's stories, we need to raise enough funds to help with travel and accommodation costs.
