    Story

On Friday 7th April 2017, our friend Eyder had his life turned completely upside down.

He was admitted to Kings College Hospital with an inflammation in his groin area that was causing him severe pain, leaving him unable to walk.

At first, everything seemed to be just a ‘bad’ day for Eyder, who was still joking about being in hospital for the first time in his life.

Later that evening, all the laughter and jokes went silent.

Eyder was diagnosed with a severe infection of the dangerous MRSA bacteria that rapidly started to spread.

He was rushed into surgical theatre to have all the contaminated tissue removed in a drastic measure to prevent the bacteria from spreading to other organs.

Deep layers of skin from his groin, scrotum and buttocks had to be removed, leaving him with a large open wound.

After the surgery in the early hours of Saturday morning, we were all shocked to learn that Eyder was in a coma, fighting for his life in the intensive care unit.

For the next five days, we just waited in despair hoping for the best and, eventually, his body started to react.

Since then, Eyder has been improving, but he now faces the challenge of living with a large open wound that will take a long time to heal.

One can imagine the pain and discomfort of the daily changing of dressings, not to mention the psychological damage.

    OUR APPEAL TO YOU
When a large area of skin is removed, a painstaking process of surgical reconstruction is the only option to facilitate healing.

Eyder has already undergone five surgeries and many more will be necessary.

According to the doctors, it could take between one and three years for a full recovery.

That is the reason we are launching a fundraising campaign to help Eyder with the extra medical expenses, transportation to visit the doctors and daily living costs, which includes food and rent, as he won’t be able to work for a long time.

I can not tell you how many times I had to show my intimate parts for doctors nurses and curious friends. I Will probably will become a nudist by the end of it. After more then 3 months of dressing it's finally finishing .. maybe another 2 weeks and I'm done until I have my plastic surgeries. I feel so blessed. 🙏Thanks guys

Hey guys.. here is a cheeky picture of me on my everyday routine after every shower since 11th of April. I think I still have a couple of months to go until the wound it's totally closed but I'm doing extremely well. After that I will have to wait 4 months before I can start all the plastic surgeries require. I would like to take this opportunity to say a big THANK YOU for all the support and help from all of you. It means a lot to me and my family.😍💪 ➡️Dressing : piece of material used to cover and protect a wound 😊
