    Story

We are off to Greece in August, to work with an amazing charity ;Health-Point Foundation, to help alleviate dental pain for thousands of refugees and create some smiles!

Many of you will know, that I ( Ferdaus) was out there in December last year. It was a truly humbling experience and a privilege to be able to assist our refugee friends. This time I will be accompanied by my lovely partners in crime, Samia and Wafa, who are desperate to help our friends where possible.

I (Wafa) feel privileged to be able to offer a skill to those in need. I have volunteered previously in Africa in 2013, however those in need in Greece are closer to my heart and I am anxious and excited to meet them.

For those who know me ( Samia) will know that this will be the first time that I am going to do volunteer work abroad and I know it will be an eye opening and emotional experience for me.

So who are HPF and why should you donate?
HPF is a volunteer-led, grassroots, non-profit organisation who rely heavily on kind donations to keep their project running. Funds go towards purchasing essential dental equipment, medication and supporting long-term ground coordinators.

The conflicts in Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq have created one of the largest refugee crises the world has seen since WWII.
Over 60,000 refugees currently reside in Greece, housed in small camps and apartments.

Since December 2015, HPF has been fulfilling an unmet need by providing free dental care to these individuals. As the only dentists on ground with a continuous presence, they receive a great number of requests to visit new camps, where the need for a dental service is high. Operating on a 6 day a week basis, around 1000 patients a month are treated.

Through donations, HPF can extend their efforts to relieve pain and continue to provide much needed dental care to refugees living in the camps.

Please donate generously and help create smiles for refugees.

    Thank you for your support!
