In March 2014, I was very weak and thin, I had been seriously ill and come through a coma. Life was empty and I had no reason to get up in the morning, then along came William. William was 9 weeks old and from the moment he entered my life we had a bond that could never be broken. William needed me, and I needed him. He gave me so much joy, and helped get me back to health, I wanted to be well for my boy. He learned to help me physically too, he will call me if the phone rings, if my emergency call alarm sounds, he will "talk" by the time he was 8 months old he could help me with getting dressed, or ready for bed, and he had learnt to push my wheelchair.
There's something special about William, nearly everyone he meets falls in love with him.
In August, William started to randomly collapse in pain, so I got him to the vet straight away. Our vet thoroughly examined him and took x-rays of just about every bone in his body. It showed William has advanced Spondylosis, already 4 vertebrae are fused, and several more are affected. This means he is on strong pain medication for life and has to have blood tests to ensure his organs are not affected by the drugs. We also found out william has luxating patella, (floppy knee cap) which causes William to fall, it's incredibly painful. He has gradually been getting worse and has to have surgery. Through all this, William has been so brave.
I had a bank account and insurance for William but over the past few months he's gone over his insurance limit and drained his bank account. Now I need help, I have exhausted everything possible financially, and am now asking for the help and kindness of friends and strangers to donate toward William's Veterinary treatments, because William is worth it, he has continued to give his all for me, please... help my boy.
