After finding out about the Arumina Hospice from a good friend and colleague at work, I decided to help fundraise for this worthy cause. However, after learning more about the needs of the children suffering from HIV/Aids I decided to take the plunge and visit the hospice in person leaving on the 31st March 2017.

I will be joining my friend Ross during which time we will spend 6 days working with the volunteers and children. We have both pledged to raise £4000 which will help to build their much needed new girls dormitory. To raise this I am thankful to my students for incorporating these fundraising events into their academic year.

This isn't going to be an easy journey, immersing myself into this world and extreme poverty, this will surly be a life changing experience.
