Dear friends, a catastrophic tragedy has engulfed the Seemanchal belt of Bihar. All of a sudden the entire area came under unprecedented flood from the river Kosi and its tributaries and is available for anyone to see online for more details . The highest number of casualties are from my hometown in Araria, and the calamity is expected to worsen despite recession of the flood with epidemics and water borne diseases. All sections of the society (with a high poverty ratio) are affected equally-making things worse for the less privileged , elderly and weak ones especially.

The government response is painfully slow in general in such places, and there is much need for timely help. I request all of you to reach out to your pockets and make some donation to help the needy in time of need. Your small amount will serve a great cause. All donations will go to the local charities working directly with the affected population.
