Story
The dismantling of the notorious Calais "Jungle" camp is uprooting thousands of already vulnerable people. Last February when the southern section of the camp was demolished over one hundred children went missing. "Stand up to Racism" is holding a winter aid appeal which aims to collect money for organisations working in France in order to purchase winter essentials for refugees.
Forge TV is assisting the Calais Convoy, bringing aid to those that are still struggling in poor conditions in what is left of the camp. Filming our documentary, we aim to bring awareness to a situation that certainly did not disappear with the demolition, giving an honest face to the crisis.

8 years agoHello everyone! Just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who donated. The money was split between Care 4 Calais and Refugee Community Kitchen who will use it to help support refugees in camps in Northern France and on the streets of Paris. We spent a very long and illuminating day filming in Calais in one of the distribution centers for donations. We are currently in the editing process and are also involved with a refugee community project in Sheffield which will also be featured. Thanks again for your kind donations!
