Troy is undergoing an MRI scan to determine the cause of his ataxia, unsteady gait and neck and back pain. He also has significant muscle atrophy.

He has had over a year of acupuncture and laser therapy. Three months of physiotherapy and hydrotherapy. He has also been on various pain relief. Despite all our efforts he has continued to deteroriate which has promoted a consultation with the neurological team at Edinburgh Vet School. We now need to determine/rule out a more insidious cause of his pain - neoplasia. It is likely there are numerous things going on.

He is now on steroids amongst other meds to manage his pain and at least for now is more comfortable.

While Troy‘s MRI will be covered by his insurance/co insurance which i will pay, he is not covered for any matters relating to his heart. After talking with the cardio team an ECG is recommended to help the anaesthesia team monitor Troy’s heart under general anaesthetic, neuro would also like thoracic xrays to rule out pulmonary metasteses.

I am asking if any kind souls can help me in funding his ECG/Xrays. This has not been an easy decision given the risk of anaesthesia combined with his heart condition.
