Weʼve raised £540 to Help Steve and Emma with vet costs, after Scuffy's terrible attack

Funded on Tuesday, 20th March 2018

Don't have time to donate right now?

    Story

Emma and Steve bazell's, little Scruffy is a much loved family pet, she is 6 years old.

Scuffy's was recently attacked by a large dog who had escaped her owner. Scruffy's wounds were so bad she wasn't expected to make it through the night. But she did.
She's sedated and waiting for CT scan to see if her neck is broken. Thankfully her spinal cord is undamaged.
She's in the best hands having been moved to a specialist in Winchester. Decisions will need to be made and they will be made for Scruffy, not us.
It was possibly the worst experience ever wrestling a dog to release your fur baby. Thank you to my neighbours who responded to the incident, and drove Scruffy to the vets, and Kate, Flip and Ashleigh who came to support us. Not forgetting Kate's continuous tea making.
Get well Scruffy Bazell we actually miss your yapping....

    *UPDATE*
Scruffy has had her CT Scan and has 2 small fractures in her neck that do not need surgery. They are just assessing her flesh wounds now, but we are more positive. Hope to see her later.

The dog that attacked her was an Akita, so compared to Scruffy, no match.
Poor little lady wouldn't have survived any longer in its mouth if away from me.

If any help Is given and any left over they will give to an animal charity, this all happened last Wednesday vet bill is already £5000

It’s only a small donation but it is sent with love and for a speedy recovery. I have two rescue fur babies and if this was me, I’d need help too. With love xx

My parent's dog was attacked by a group of dogs, he was left for dead but he made it and now he's an old sir, living a quiet, happy life. I hope Scuffy will do the same.

Sorry it's not much but I've been in this situation of having a huge vet bill to pay. Hope scruffy is going to be ok. Much love, Louise Black xxx
