We believe that Ripley C of E Primary School has been failed by Surrey County Council (SCC). We believe that it was due to their lack of decision making and failure to act that led to the ‘Inadequate’ OFSTED rating. We believe SCC failed in their statutory duty to consider all possible options other than closure of our rural school. We believe they have failed the children and parents of the school. We believe SCC failed to take into consideration planned housing and future demand for school places in the area. We believe they failed to fully consider the long-term impact on our community. We believe SCC should be held accountable for their actions (or lack of).

We have some very generous supporters in the community and we have been raising funds offline, but we need your help too.

Please, please support the Friends of Ripley to challenge SCC and to fight for local democracy, local accountability, and most importantly for our beautiful village school that this community worked so hard to build.
