    Story

Our centre was purpose built in 2000, is fully secure and mobility accessible, all on one level with lounge and dining areas overlooking beautiful gardens. we provide a relaxed and caring environment for older people that is also safe and secure for people with dementia or mental heath conditions.

We have a full activities programme including quizzes, music, arts, crafts, entertainment and games, which will take into account guests interests. you are free to drop in for an hour or two, all day, or all five days.

Frogmore Day Centre is your local centre for social contact serving those with Dementia, Alzheimer's and other mind limiting conditions as people get older. The current Charity that runs the centre has been struggling with structural issues recently, and the decision may be taken to close the charity at the end of March. We, as local residents and users of the facility, are determined to keep providing the services that many sufferers in their later years and their carers rely on to have social contact and interaction, to keep the onset of symptoms at bay a little longer, and provide respite time for the carers to do simple day to day tasks like cleaning and shopping. A Crowdfunding is being set up to raise the immediate funds required to facilitate a change of Trustees and structure to a more financially self sufficient option, and we would like to invite anyone who wants to support us to look for and contribute anything that they can.

Our aim is to retain the existing name and overall being of the Charity, however, and funds raised would also provide the option of setting up a new Charity to provide the same services and more to the local and wider communities around us.

I would like to thank everyone who has donated so far, the monies raised are going towards helping us replace our broken boiler, so we can have hot water again, and our clients can start having a nice bath, as they so look forward to these, and any funds remaining will go towards helping us to replace our minibus.

This is such a worthwhile cause. None of us know if we will need this care in the future.
